Steve's Fancy Garlic & Onion Bread

Being Italian AND loving Italian food, not having good garlic bread with an Italian meal is a sin.  I combined how my Mom and Dad made garlic bread and added my own twist.

  • Bread of choice, sliced to your preference
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Parmesean Cheese - Grated
  • Butter - slightly softened
  • Finely Chopped Garlic
  • Finely Chopped Onion
  • Finely Chopped Parsely


1- If you are really nuts about great garlic and onion bread, mix the finely chopped garlic and onion with the softened butter and let it sit in the refrigerator for a few days.  This will enhance the garlic and onion flavor quite a bit.
2- Pre-heat the broiler
3- Spread the butter, chopped garlic, and chopped onion onto the sliced bread and place on a cookie sheet.
4- Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, parmesean cheese, and a little parsley on the top of the buttered bread slices.
5- Put the cookie sheet with the bread on it under the broiler and toast to your preference
